am so grateful that I was able to hear and record Ella saying my name, prefacing
each “mama” with her sweet squeals. She named me Mama, and I don't think I've ever heard a sweeter sound than that. I stood watch over her for more than eight months. She's been gone for a year now, and every day I'm counting on her to stand watch over me until we can be together again, until I can hold her in my arms again and forever be rid of the ache caused by her absence.
